What Are Anchor Texts In SEO?

An anchor text is a hyperlink that shows the destination of a link and its relationship to the content on the page.

It can be used in web pages, blogs, wikis, social media sites, website footers, email footers, and RSS feeds. Anchor texts are typically underlined or emboldened when they are used on web pages.

In SEO, it’s important to use important words or keywords when linking out from an anchor text.

Anchor texts can be any words, but typically, they’re content-heavy and readable.

For example, if I want to link out to keyword research or SERPs, I would just highlight those words and link to their own part of the SEO Glossary.
